Shakeib Afzal

Shakeib Afzal has been working in the software engineering field since 2008. Shakeib began their career as an Intern with the Northeastern Relational Agents Group in 2008. Shakeib then went on to become a Tutor at Northeastern College of Computer and Information Science in 2009. That same year, they also worked as a Financial Analysis Intern at Brightcove. In 2010, they worked as an Information Assurance Intern at General Dynamics C4 Systems, where they built a prototype Java X.509 CRL parser and integrated it into an existing monitoring tool. In 2011, they joined Cramer as a Software Engineer, where they developed features and maintained enterprise-grade Java and .Net sites and applications. In 2015, they joined Homesite Insurance as a Software Developer, where they designed and built out API interfaces and business logic. In 2018, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Numerated, and in 2020, they joined GridUnity as a Senior Software Engineer.

Shakeib Afzal received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science and Cognitive Psychology from Northeastern University in 2011, having started their studies in 2007.
