James Roach

James Roach has worked in a variety of roles in the field of data science and machine learning. James began their career in 2005 as a Staff Engineer at The Hit Factory. In 2010, they became a NIGMS MARC Fellow at Florida International University. From 2012 to 2019, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Michigan and an Interdisciplinary Scholar in Quantitative and Experimental Biology at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. In 2020, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles. Most recently, in 2022, they began work as a Machine Learning Scientist at Kriya Therapeutics, Inc. and is currently a Data Scientist at Gridware.

James Roach's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, which they completed between 2012 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in both Biology, General and Chemistry from Florida International University between 2007 and 2012. James also earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Audio Production from The New England Institute of Art in 2003 and 2004.
