Sandra McGuire has worked in a variety of roles since 1995. Sandra began as an Undergraduate Research Fellow, then a National Science Foundation Junior Scholar, and a Graduate Research Fellow at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Unesc - Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense. After that, they were a Purchasing Agent at The Buccaneer Hotel from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Research Associate at the Bureau of Economics and Business Research at the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business. During this time, they conducted research, analysis, and reporting on various recurrent publications, collected and evaluated economic and demographic data for the state of Florida, and collaborated with public policy research teams. From 2007 to 2017, they worked as a Research Associate/Statistical Analyst at McGraw-Hill Education, where they evaluated psychometric research data and test assembly matters, analyzed and accurately translated psychometric specifications, and drafted technical reports and special studies memos. From 2017 to 2018, they were an Accounting Tech./Grants Specialist at Interim Inc. Finally, from 2018 to 2019, they were a Research Associate at Edmetric, and is currently a Utility Data Analyst Lead at GridX, Inc.

Sandra McGuire holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Economics from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics from the same university.
