Atle Sommer

Atle Sommer is a experienced professional currently working as the Managing Director at Grieg Star. Prior to this, Atle held key positions at Idevekst Energi AS as Partner and at GC Rieber Shipping ASA as the COO. With a background in fleet management and operations, Atle has also served as Managing Director at Seatrans Ship Management AS and held various leadership roles at Seatrans AS. Before transitioning to the private sector, Atle had a successful career in the Royal Norwegian Navy, rising through the ranks to eventually become a Commander. Atle holds a Master degree in Leadership, organisational development, and nautical studies from INSEAD, along with a Bachelor degree in Master Mariner, leadership, and nautical studies from the Norwegian Naval Academy.
