Ryan Tamayo

Ryan Tamayo is an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in engineering and education. Currently serving as a 3rd Engineer at Grieg Star since January 2014, Ryan has held various positions including 4th Engineer and Motorman, contributing to newbuilding projects such as the MV Star Lysefjord and MV Kai Xuan. As a Technical AMOS Consultant, responsibilities include optimizing and maintaining the Planned Maintenance System across vessels. Prior to this role, Ryan worked as a Maritime Instructor at Mariners Polytechnic College Foundation, teaching subjects related to marine engineering. Ryan also has experience as a Junior Implementation Engineer at SpecTec and as an Engine Officer Cadet at Wallenius Marine AB. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering and in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by a short technical course in Pneumatics Industrial Controls.
