Robert Kero has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert started their career at Argonne National Laboratory in 1987, where they served in various roles including as a Decision & Information Sciences Division - Emerging Technology Practice Manager and a Researcher. In 1997, they joined Hitachi as the Chief of Business Strategy, Planning & Development, Head of Chicago R&D Office, and Senior Researcher. After their time at Hitachi, Robert founded Health E-Discovery Solutions in 2001. In 2002, they joined CNA Insurance as the Director of Enterprise Architecture (Information), and later moved on to Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in 2008 as the Managing Director of IT Informatics. Currently, Robert is the VP Global Information Technology / CIO at Griffith Foods, a company specializing in food ingredients.
Robert Kero's education history includes the following:
- From 2021 to 2022, they attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they pursued an Executive Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business.
- In 2016, they completed an Executive Education program in Financial Analysis for Nonfinancial Managers at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education.
- In 2010, they participated in an Executive Education program focused on Driving Strategic Value from IT at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
- In 2006, they undertook an Executive Education program titled The Enterprise Technology Strategist: Aligning IT and Business Strategies at Penn State University.
- Between 1988 and 1990, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
- From 1984 to 1988, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science & Management (dual) at the University of St. Francis.
