Thomas VanNorman, CISSP, GICSP

Thomas VanNorman, CISSP, GICSP, has been working in the cybersecurity field for over a decade. Thomas'scareer began in 2008 as a Senior Instrument & Controls Specialist at CH2M HILL, where they successfully provided project support to various automation projects across the enterprise, provided instrumentation and control solutions to clients, and trained, managed, and mentored a staff of three. In 2011, they took on the role of Security Analyst at Colorado Network Staffing, and also worked as Cybersecurity Services Manager and Solutions Engineer at Phoenix Contact USA. In 2014, they became a Senior Technical Staff at Counter Hack Challenges, LLC, and in 2017 they took on the roles of Lead System Engineer at Veracity Industrial Networks and Owner at ICS Secure, LLC. In 2018, they became a Founding Member at ICS VILLAGE, and Director of Engineering Services at Dragos, Inc. Thomas currently holds the positions of Senior Vice President and Principal at GRIMM (SMFS, Inc.).

Thomas VanNorman achieved an AAS Computer Information Technology degree from Northampton Community College in 2008, with a focus in Networking. Thomas also achieved an AAS Aircraft Maintenance Technology degree from the Community College of the Air Force, specializing in Aircraft Electrical/Environmental systems. Thomas has also obtained various certifications, including the GICSP from GIAC in 2015, the CISSP from (ISC)\u00b2, the GCIH from GIAC, and the SEC+ from CompTIA.
