Application Security Engineer at Grimm

Zoey Garvey has a wealth of experience in software engineering and application security. Zoey currently works as an Application Security Engineer for GRIMM (SMFS, Inc.) since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Consultant Software Engineer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2019 to 2021, where they conducted training on the OWASP Top 10 and performed code reviews. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Delphix, where they led a team responsible for assessing and prioritizing security fixes, reviewing architectural changes from a security perspective, and coordinating internal and external penetration tests. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Scripps Networks Interactive, where they developed an embeddable HTML5 video player for video syndication. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Software Engineer at 3VR, developing desktop and web/mobile applications that interface with surveillance video recorders. Finally, from 2003 to 2011, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Tennessee, staffing coding laboratories and evaluating coding assignments.

Zoey Garvey completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with Minors in Math and Business from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2005. Zoey is currently attending City College of San Francisco.
