Disch-Bhadkamkar of Palo Alto, California, recently retired from Stanford University after 23 years in finance administration. She served as university treasurer and most recently was managing director and chief financial officer at Stanford Management Co. Prior to joining Stanford, she was vice president at JP Morgan in the Corporate Finance Division. She currently serves as Trustee for the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, is a member of the advisory board of the Stanford Athletics Department and the finance committee of the Foothill-De Anza Community College Foundation. She holds an A.L.B. in government from Harvard University Extension School and an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Causes important to her include higher education and women's rights. She and Neal Bhadkamkar are parents of Ishan Bhadkamkar, a 2013 graduate of Grinnell College.
