Brooks Mason

Brooks Mason has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. From 2015 onwards, they worked at Grio, starting as a Senior Software Engineer and advancing to Managing Director. Brooks managed remote teams and served as the Managing Director for the CDMX office. Prior to Grio, Brooks briefly worked as a Master Software Engineer at Capital One. Brooks also had a significant tenure at Monsoon, where they started as a Software Engineer and later became the Lead Software Engineer. Before their software engineering career, Brooks worked as an Environmental Consultant and Contract Sustainability Auditor during their self-employment. Brooks has experience in ISO 9001 lead auditing and consulting on green product certifications. Additionally, Brooks has held technical roles at SCS Global Services, the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, and the Desert Research Institute, contributing to research projects in various capacities.

Brooks Mason completed their education at two different institutions. From 2000 to 2004, they attended Colorado College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science. Following this, they pursued higher studies at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2005 to 2008 and earned a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Science. In addition to their academic achievements, Brooks has also obtained two certifications. In April 2012, they completed the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification from AQS Management Systems. Furthermore, in February 2007, they obtained the AIARE Level 2 certification from the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education.
