Carsten Jung serves as the Head of Investment & Legal at GRIPS Energy since April 2022, leading initiatives to transition companies in emerging markets to renewable energy solutions. Previous experience includes roles such as Structured Finance Manager at FS Impact Finance, and Senior Investment Analyst at Frankfurt School Financial Services UK Limited. Carsten also held the position of Advisor at GIZ for a Project Development Programme focused on renewable energy in developing regions, along with a Project Manager role at the FS-UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance. Additional experience encompasses project management at Carbon Africa Ltd, and earlier roles in sustainability management at HEAG Südhessische Energie AG and market communication at Dalkia. Carsten holds an MBA in Renewable Energy Management from Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin and a B.Sc. in Energy Management from the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt.
