Dale Carman

Dale Carman is a co-founder and serves as the Executive Creative Director of Groove Jones where he oversees the creative and technical direction for the studio. With three decades of experience in feature films and commercial production, he also serves as the in-house Director for live-action productions.

Prior to Groove Jones, he was the original co-founder of Reel FX where he grew the company to 350 people over 25 years. His creative direction touched all parts of the business from major motion pictures, to TV commercials and theme park rides. Carman’s endeavor into virtual reality began by funding a Kick Starter which later became Oculus Rift. Carman directed the studios first VR production and personally worked with Guillermo Del Toro on the Pacific Rim experience for the Oculus Rift.
