Martin Gross is the founder, president, and CEO of Gross-Wen Technologies. Martin has a long history of working in the biotech industry, having interned at DuPont Pioneer, where they cloned protein expressing genes into brevibacillus and e. coli, and later working as a postdoctoral research associate at Iowa State University, where they investigated the potential for using algae to remove nitrogen and phosphorus from municipal wastewater streams. Martin also worked as a biological research aid at the USDA-ARS. In their current role at Gross-Wen Technologies, they are responsible for leading the company's research and development efforts.

Martin Gross received their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Iowa State University. Martin then pursued a Master of Science in Food Science and Technology from the same institution before earning their Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture & Biosystems Engineering also from Iowa State University. Finally, they completed their education with a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Iowa State University.
