Cyndi Willoughby

Cyndi Willoughby has a range of experience in finance and operations, particularly in the education sector. Cyndi is currently serving as the Director of Finance and Operations at The Grosse Pointe Academy. Prior to this, they worked at Oakland Schools for a significant portion of their career. At Oakland Schools, they held several roles, including Executive Director of Shared Services, Director of Business Services, and Senior Business Analysis & External Services Supervisor. In these positions, they demonstrated strong leadership skills, overseeing budgets, managing teams, and implementing process enhancements. Cyndi was successful in improving financial outlooks, reducing deficits, and securing funding for districts. Cyndi also collaborated with governmental agencies to strengthen educational programs.

Cyndi Willoughby has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Professional Accountancy from Walsh College. Cyndi also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Oakland University. In addition, Cyndi has obtained a certification as a Certified Financial Officer from the Michigan School Business Officials, which expires in June 2023.
