David Laws - FCCA has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. David has held various roles in different companies.

From 2000 to 2006, David worked at Honeywell Aerospace, starting as a Billing Clerk and progressing to Assistant Accountant. During their tenure, they implemented a new Accounts Receivable system and assisted with the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP).

From 2006 to 2008, David worked at British Credit Trust as a Financial Analyst and later as a Finance Manager. David was responsible for producing management information, managing the budgeting process, and developing a product profitability analysis. David also managed relationships with senior funders and oversaw the audit process.

In 2008, David joined Mencap as an Interim Business Finance Manager. In this role, they sat on the Senior Management team and managed the finances of over 100 services nationwide. David also played a key role in a management restructure and worked on a new 5-year business strategy and plan.

From 2010 to 2013, David worked at Accenture in various roles including Project Accountant, Interim Finance Lead (Capital Markets) - UKI Financial Services Division, and Interim Finance Specialist - UKI Resources Division. David was responsible for financial management, forecasting, reporting, and analysis in these roles. David also contributed to the development of reporting models and tools.

From 2013 to the present, David has been working at Ground Control. David started as the Head of Finance and later moved on to become the Head of Client Services and eventually the Director of Client Services.

In 2017, David also had a brief stint at Survey Roofing as the Head of Finance.

David Laws - FCCA has an education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. In 2003, they attended Amersham and Wycombe College, where they studied Accounting and earned a degree in Association of Accounting Technicians. From 2005 to 2008, David attended the Bucks Accounting Academy, focusing on Accountancy and obtaining a degree in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Most recently, in 2019, they studied Coaching and Mentoring at Catalyst 14 and earned an EMCC Global Quality Individual Coach/Mentor accreditation (EIA).
