Rustam Mirkasymov

Rustam Mirkasymov is an experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity and software development, currently serving as an Individual Contributor at Group-IB since September 2014. Mirkasymov's current focus involves bridging leadership experience with hands-on technical excellence, providing support to CTI analysts, IR experts, and team leads through consulting and collaboration. Previously, as the Head of Threat Intelligence Europe, Mirkasymov launched Group-IB's first European office and built a diverse Threat Intelligence team. Additional roles at Group-IB include Head of the Dynamic Analysis Department and various positions as a Malware Analyst where Mirkasymov specialized in reverse engineering malware and conducting incident responses. Prior experience includes software development at ERMASOFT Management, contributing to the enhancement of a digital map engine. Mirkasymov holds a Specialist degree in Computer Programming from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, obtained in 2013.
