Yanish Jutton

Yanish Jutton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Yanish started their career as a Service Desk Technician Intern at CPP Investment Board in 2010, where they gained knowledge of various software and systems. In 2011, they worked as a Coop student at TD Bank Group, where they designed and maintained SharePoint sites and improved existing sites.

In 2012, Yanish worked as a Researcher at ENAC, where they designed and implemented a multi-modal user interface for controlling multiple drone teams. Yanish also provided feedback on and helped improve a new UI design language being developed by the research lab.

Yanish joined Visa in 2013 as a Global Mobile Payments Engineering Coop, where they designed and built major feature additions for Visa's NFC mobile payments app. Yanish gained extensive knowledge of Global platform and Smartcard APIs during this role.

Yanish then worked at Communitech in 2013 as a User Experience Designer, creating wireframes for mobile and web applications and providing technical advice to clients. Yanish also volunteered at various Communitech events.

In 2014, Yanish worked part-time as a Special Projects Coordinator on the SME team at Communitech, where they assisted with systems transition and created wireframes and user flows for the member portal and toolkits. Yanish also worked as a Coordinator, Technical Learning at Communitech, researching technical disciplines and creating reports on training programs.

From 2014 to 2019, Yanish also took up freelance work, providing UI/UX design and technical consulting services to startup companies, and designing logos, website mockups, and wireframes for various clients.

Since 2016, Yanish has been working at GroupBy Inc., starting as a UX Designer and leading the redesign of Groupby's search and merchandising administration platform. Yanish is currently a Senior Solutions Architect, responsible for creating best practice guidelines for search-centric online shopping experiences.

In 2019, they took on the role of a Product Owner - Search powered by Google Retail Search at GroupBy Inc., where they worked until 2022.

Yanish Jutton completed a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2014, Yanish earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Systems Design Engineering from the same university. There is no information available regarding Yanish's education prior to attending the University of Waterloo. In terms of additional certifications, Yanish obtained the Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2017.
