Martin McCarthy

Martin McCarthy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in network engineering and site reliability management. Currently serving as the Cloud Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Groupon since February 2022, Martin previously held the position of Manager in Network Engineering at Amazon Data Services from November 2015 to December 2020. Martin's background includes over 19 years at eircom, where responsibilities ranged from Head of Broadband Design and Development, overseeing Ireland's largest high-speed broadband network, to various roles in design engineering and project management. Enhanced technical skills were honed as a Test Engineer at Siemens Nixdorf from February 1993 to June 1996. Martin holds an M.B.A. from Technological University Dublin and a Master of Engineering from Maynooth University, along with additional qualifications in accounting and finance, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin.
