Co-Founder & Head of Product at Grove

Ken Tomita is the Co-Founder & Head of Product of Grove, a company that provides design, build, fabrication, consulting, and project management services in the fields of furniture, interior design, product design, and sculpture. Ken Tomita draws inspiration from traditional Japanese forms and their rich life experiences to create unique works which retain the warmth of tradition within modern design.

Prior to founding Grove, Ken Tomita was the Lead Builder at Bamboo DNA, where they worked under founder and director Gerard Minakawa building large scale bamboo sculptures at domestic and international music festivals such as Burning Man, Coachella, and Electric Picnic.

Ken Tomita's experience in design, build, and fabrication, as well as their passion for creating unique works that combine traditional forms with modern design, make him the perfect CEO and Co-Founder for Grove.

Ken Tomita has a Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BA in East Asian Studies- art history from the University of Oregon. Ken also has a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
