Katherine Watson

Katherine Watson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katherine currently holds the position of Head of Products and Services Delivery (Projects) at WISE since April 2023, where they lead the team responsible for project and data work. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Head of Products and Services Delivery - Projects at the same company from January to April 2023.

In 2022, Katherine worked as the Outreach and Diversity Programme Manager at the UK Cyber Security Council, focusing on outreach initiatives. Before that, they held various roles at WISE starting in 2018, including Development Manager, Development Officer, and Projects Assistant. In these positions, they were involved in coordinating projects related to female talent and outreach, delivering presentations and workshops, and providing data analysis and technical reports.

Katherine also gained experience at the National Railway Museum as an Interim STEM Ambassador Engagement Officer in 2017, where they developed relationships with STEM professionals and supported teachers with STEM Ambassador requests. Additionally, they worked part-time at the Web Adventure Park as a Crew Member in 2017, performing reception duties and hosting children's birthday parties. Prior to that, they worked as a Maths Tutor at Tradewind Recruitment, providing tutoring to Year 6 pupils in 2017.

Before entering these professional roles, Katherine was a Retail Assistant and Play Supervisor at York Maze Limited in 2015.

Katherine Watson began their education at the University of York in 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics. Katherine completed this degree in 2015. In 2015, Katherine continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Mathematics in 2016.
