Joe Woo

Joe Woo's work experience includes various roles in risk management and finance. Joe began their career as an Analyst at China Guangfa Bank in 2002. Joe then worked as a Payroll Officer at Chandler Macleod before transitioning to risk management roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where they served as a Risk Analyst, Senior Risk Analyst, and Risk Manager. In 2011, Joe joined American Express as a Senior Risk Manager. Joe later worked at SocietyOne as a Credit Manager and at Westpac as a Manager of Business Performance & Analytics. From 2015 to 2019, Joe held the position of Head of Risk Analytics at Eclipx Group. Joe'smost recent role was Senior Risk Advisor at Ant Financial before assuming the position of Chief Technology Officer at Grow Finance in November 2019.

Joe Woo received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automation Science and Engineering from South China University of Technology from 1999 to 2002. After that, they pursued a Master of Commerce (Honours) degree in Accounting & Banking from the University of Sydney from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they also obtained additional certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, SQL Server 2005 (MCTS). Later, in 2012, Joe Woo became a CFA charterholder after completing their studies at the CFA Institute.
