Mark Lee has extensive experience in the banking and financial industry. Mark is currently the Founder and Managing Director of South Downs Capital Advisory, a role they have held since October 2019. In addition, they serve as a Non-Executive Director at Caldera Heat Batteries Ltd, starting in January 2020. Previously, Mark held various high-level positions at reputable financial institutions, including Chief Financial Officer at Deep Green Technologies since December 2021, and Managing Director, Head of Diversified Industries, Mining, and Transportation at Scotiabank from January 2015 to September 2019. Before that, they worked at Barclays as Managing Director, Head of Key Clients, UK & Ireland, and Head of Manufacturing & Transportation from February 2011 to June 2014. Prior to Barclays, Mark held the position of Head of Global Industrials, UK Coverage at RBS Global Banking and Markets from September 2006 to February 2011. Mark started their career at Bank of America as a Principal in Global Industries from September 2001 to September 2006, and prior to that, they served as a Manager in Corporate & Institutional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank from September 1999 to September 2001.
Mark Lee attended Durham University from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in LLB (Hons) Law. Following this, they enrolled at Cass Business School from 1998 to 1999 and completed a Master of Science degree in Investment Management.
