Karsten Beling

Karsten Beling is currently serving as a Staging Assistant at Angle Poise Design, where responsibilities include assisting with on-site staging in Brooklyn and Manhattan, building furniture, and providing design feedback. As a Farmstand and Greenmarket Site Lead/Manager at GrowNYC, Karsten manages farm stands, oversees site visuals, conducts cooking demonstrations, and maintains customer relationships. Previous experiences include working as a Newsletter Editor for the Macalester College History Department, a Communications + Storytelling Intern at Ashoka, and a Summer Intern at MN Renewable Now, where skills in writing, research, and community outreach were developed. Karsten has also held leadership roles, such as Hub Manager at Sunrise Movement and served in various capacities at Macalester College's Student Government and other organizations focused on sustainability and climate action. Education includes an Interior Design Portfolio Intensive from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and History from Macalester College.
