Marcel Van Ooyen

Marcel Van Ooyen is the President and CEO of GrowNYC, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing New York City’s quality of life through environmental initiatives since February 2006. With a background in legislative affairs as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for the New York City Council from February 1997 to December 2006, Marcel has extensive experience in public service. Marcel holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Seattle University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environmental Studies from UC Irvine.
