Sofia Degtyar

Sofia Degtyar is an experienced professional in procurement and event production, currently serving as the Lead Procurement Manager at GrowNYC since September 2022. Previous roles include Sourcing & Operations Manager at Local Roots NYC and Baker at Runner & Stone. Sofia has also contributed as a Producer for Eventique and Raduno, managing logistics and budgeting for various food and beverage events. In freelance capacities, Sofia has executed diverse events, including product launches and conferences. Earlier experience includes event planning at Gartner, project management internship at Huge, and serving as Senior Event Director for TEDx Binghamton, which produced a major event with significant digital outreach. Sofia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Communications and Media Studies from Binghamton University.
