Tutu Badaru is an experienced professional in food access and nutrition, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Food Access Initiatives and Partnerships at GrowNYC since May 2017. In this role, Tutu manages program strategies and partnerships that enhance food access across New York City, demonstrating a strong understanding of food security and sustainable agriculture. Prior to this position, Tutu held roles including Youth Engagement Coordinator and Seasonal Greenmarket Manager at GrowNYC, as well as Pediatric Dietitian at the Centre for Assessment and Therapy for Children and Adolescents, among other positions in nutrition and dietetics. Tutu holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition/Nutritionist from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics/Dietitian and a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Western Cape.
