Werner Van Antwerpen began their career in 2006 as an Engineering Consultant at M-Tech Industrial, where they worked as a Test Engineer and later as a Simulation Design Engineer. Werner then joined Deloitte in 2010 as a Lead (Manager) Management Consultant, focusing on corporate strategy and innovation projects in the natural resources and power generation sectors. In 2012, they were promoted to Executive Lead (Senior Manager) Management Consultant, where they were responsible for program managing portfolio optimization, advanced analytics, and financial modeling. In 2014, Werner joined Growthpoint Properties as the Head of Sustainability, and later became the Head of Corporate Advisory. Werner also served as a board member and director for some of Growthpoint's strategic investments. In 2015, they briefly worked as the Chairman of Sustainability at SAPOA. In 2020, Werner became a board member for OneCart. Lastly, they co-founded ChildActive in 2011, a sport academy coaching over 130 cricketers, tennis, and hockey players in South Africa, and exited the business in 2023.

Werner Van Antwerpen has a strong educational background in engineering and business. Werner began their education in 2001 at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating with honors and earning the prestigious Golden Key distinction. Werner has obtained certifications in JSE Listing Requirements, indicating their understanding of the listing regulations of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
