Tom Webster

Tom Webster is the Product Director at GrowUp Farms, and has been with the company since 2013. Prior to that, they were a Sustainability Consultant with Waterman Environmental and an intern with both the Sponge Sustainability Network and EcoConsulting (UK) Ltd.

Tom is passionate about sustainable food production and has been instrumental in GrowUp Farms' commitment to feeding people in a way that is positive for communities and the environment. As CTO, they were responsible for all technical relationships and research and development, and oversaw the design and operations of the company's commercial prototype farm.

In their current role as Product Director, Tom is responsible for GrowUp Farms' product strategy and development, as well as overseeing the company's sales and marketing efforts. Tom is committed to continue GrowUp Farms' tradition of producing sustainable salads and herbs year-round using cutting edge controlled environment production systems.

Tom Webster completed an MSc in Sustainable Cities at Kings College London, where they studied policy, terrestrial and urban ecosystems, and the urban atmosphere. Tom then went on to study environmental biology at Lancaster University, where they focused on ecology, environmental science, evolution, plant physiology, and community biology.
