John West has a long history of work experience in the quality assurance and operations field. John began their career in 1998 when they joined the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Armament System Specialist. After an honorable discharge, they worked for WestWind Technologies, Inc. from 2003 to 2014, where they held the roles of Hangar Production Supervisor, Avionics Mechanic Lead, and Aircraft Electrical Installer. In 2014, they became the Quality Manager at Butler Precision Components. In 2015, they moved to Orchid Orthopedic Solutions as Quality Lab Supervisor. In 2016, they joined ILPEA Industries, Inc. as Quality Assurance Quality Control Manager. Finally, in 2017, they started at Valley Rubber, LLC as Quality Manager. In 2022, they were promoted to Vice President Operations and Director of Quality at GRT Rubber.
John West began their educational journey in 1989 when they graduated from Athens High School. John then attended The University of Alabama in 1993, studying Engineering. After that, they enrolled in Calhoun Community College in 1994 and obtained a Computer Aided Design degree in 1996, focusing on Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD. In 1998, they attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained an Aircraft Armament Systems Technology degree in 2001. Finally, John West returned to Calhoun Community College in 2007 and obtained a Business Administration degree in 2010. In 2021, they obtained a Using Power BI with Excel certification from LinkedIn.
