Sam Hua

Sam Hua has extensive experience in the software engineering and technology industry. Sam currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at GRUBBRR® since May 2022. Prior to this, Sam served as the Vice President of Software Engineering at eSystems, Inc. for a tenure of 5 years, where they developed application modules for the Health and Human Services domain using modern web technologies and cloud deployment paradigms. Before eSystems, Sam worked at EngagePoint, Inc. for 7.5 years as the Head of Software Engineering, where they were responsible for product strategy, architecture, and development. Sam also had a 10-year tenure at Partech International, where they held various leadership positions such as Vice President of Software Engineering and Vice President of Professional Services. At Partech, Sam led a software team in building mission-critical transaction processing systems. Sam's career began at ISSI, where they founded the company and served as CEO. During their time at ISSI, they pioneered several innovative POS software paradigms.

Sam Hua obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, where they studied from 1981 to 1987. In addition to their degree, Sam has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. They became an IBM Certified SOA Associate in March 2009, obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2021, and obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from the same institution in June 2021.
