Hugues Demers

Hugues Demers is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, particularly in time series forecasting, currently serving as a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Grubhub since February 2017. Hugues has successfully led a team of data scientists in developing and deploying machine learning models that align with business objectives. Prior to Grubhub, valuable roles included Senior Data Scientist and Consultant Data Scientist at Zoomer, where predictive modeling and analytics were central tasks. Hugues has also contributed to education as a Python and Data Science mentor at Thinkful, while a long-term commitment as an Alpine Skiing Teacher at Mont-Orford Snow School highlights a passion for teaching. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Astrophysics from Université de Montréal and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Université de Sherbrooke.
