Carolyn McCarthy is the Director Global Communications at Tompkins Conservation. Carolyn also works as an Instructor at GrubStreet and has been a freelance writer for various publications since 1998. Previously, Carolyn was an author for Lonely Planet. Carolyn holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Colorado College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
