Ulya Aviral is currently affiliated with Emerson College as an Affiliated Professor, teaching Visual and Media Arts and Business of Creative Enterprises courses. Ulya also serves as the Festival Director for SmartPhone StoryFest at Emerson College. Ulya is an independent filmmaker and has worked in various roles in the field of film and media arts with organizations such as MIT Civic Design Initiative, GrubStreet, and Rhode Island School of Design. With a background in Sociology and Studies in Cinema & Media Culture, Ulya holds an MFA in Film and Media Arts from Emerson College. Ulya's expertise and experience make their a valuable member of the academic and film community.
