Marcus Zieger

Marcus Zieger has diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Marcus is currently working as the CIO at Grünhorn since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Angel & Advisor in Digitalization and Technology since April 2019. In addition, Marcus holds the role of CTO and Member of the Board at vitagroup AG since August 2020. At vitagroup AG, they were responsible for managing the technology division, implementing digital transformation, and integrating development departments. Marcus also achieved savings and implemented agile frameworks and standards.

Before joining vitagroup AG, Marcus worked as a Lecturer at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, teaching IT Performance Management from April 2019 to October 2019. Marcus also worked at Zalando SE in various roles such as Head of Information Technology and Head of Enterprise Systems - Technology from 2012 to 2018.

Prior to that, Marcus had experience in managerial and solution architect roles at Infoniqa IT Solutions GmbH Berlin and StoneOne AG respectively. Marcus started their career as a working student at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin and had an internship at Deutsche Post IT Solutions GmbH.

Marcus Zieger has a strong educational background in business computing and information technology. Marcus earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Computing from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin in 2005. Marcus furthered their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science in Business Computing in 2007. During this time, they also attended Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) from 2004 to 2005, where they studied Enterprise Java und Existenzgründung.

In 2006, Marcus Zieger had the opportunity to study abroad at Dublin City University, focusing on Business Computing. Marcus also briefly attended Technische Universität Berlin in the same year, specializing in IT-Service-Management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Marcus Zieger has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2021, they became a Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager and a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist through Scaled Agile, Inc.
