Jose Currás

Jose Castelo Currás is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the CEO of Avintia Energia since June 2019, where leadership encompasses strategic, operational, commercial, and financial management of the energy division. In addition to this role, Jose has been the Business and Project Development Manager at Infinite Solar Energy since October 2015, focusing on renewable energy projects in Europe and LATAM, covering various subsectors, including PV Solar, Wind, and Hydro. Prior experience includes directing the Solar PV Division at ECOENER Group, overseeing all phases of project development, and managing R+D projects related to renewable energy systems. Jose also has a background in electronics R&D from Universidad de Valencia and experience in process engineering at Ford España S.A. Educational achievements include prestigious qualifications from IESE Business School and the University of Oxford, complemented by a strong academic foundation in electronics and engineering.
