Joaquín Navarro has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Joaquín began their career as a Financial Analyst at Citi in 1988, before moving on to Fomento de Comercio Exterior | Focoex, where they held various positions including Regional Manager, Director of Branch Brussels UE, and Deputy Director of Trading. Joaquín then joined Expansion Exterior as Director of the Middle East & Africa division, later becoming the Director of the Energy Division.
In 2005, Navarro joined ISOLUX CORSAN as the Director of Business Development. Subsequently, they worked at Grupo Copisa as the Managing Director of International Sales, and later took on a similar role at Grupo Lantania.
Alongside their corporate roles, Navarro has served as an Associate Professor at ICADE Business School, teaching in the Master in International Relations program. Joaquín has also been involved in advisory positions, being part of the Advisory Board at Iberbildin Proyectos Internacionales and serving as a Non-Executive Director at Checkpoint Partners.
Joaquín Navarro has had a diverse education history. From 1974 to 1985, they studied at Santa María del Pilar, where they completed their basic and high school education. Following this, they attended Universidad Pontificia Comillas from 1985 to 1990, earning a BSc in Economy & Business Administration with a focus on ICADE E2. In 2003 and 2004, Navarro pursued further studies at Club Español de la Energía, where they obtained an MSc in Energy Technologies with a specialization in Oil & Gas, Power, Renewables, and T&D. Most recently, in 2017, they participated in the Independent Non Executive Directors | Board of Directors Programme at Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
