Ramón Eluchans Olivares

Mr. Eluchans has been on the board of Banco Security since 2013. In this role, he is active on the Bank’s Credit, Finance, Compliance, Operational Risk and New Product committees.

From 1997 to 2013, Mr. Eluchans was the CEO of Banco Security, during which time he led the Bank's acquisition development and organic growth process. Today Banco Security is a leader in its market and is known as an institution with low risk, high credit standards, above-average service levels and a brand recognized for excellence.

Before that, Mr. Eluchans was Marketing Manager and Commercial Director at Banco Security during a period of development and growth for the Bank. In addition, he has held positions in different companies within Grupo Security (Penta Security, Travel Security and Corredora de Seguros Security), gaining broad knowledge of the financial industry. He was chairman of the board of Valores Security from 2010 to 2017. Before joining Banco Security, Mr. Eluchans was International and Finance Area Manager at Banco Sudamericano (currently ScotiaBank).

Ramón Eluchans co-founded and chairs Ecosalmon, a Chilean company engaged in raising fresh water salmon and committed to responsible and sustainable aquaculture practices.

In other pursuits, Mr. Eluchans is the President of the Chilean Yachting Club and was the national champion of the Open Ocean Regatta. He was also chairman of the Santiago Runners Club. Mr. Eluchans has a degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
