Gretchen Muniz Ortiz

Gretchen Muniz Ortiz, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Gretchen currently holds the position of Vice President HR Services, Rewards & Wellness at Triple-S since 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President Human Resources at Medical Card System starting from 2014. Gretchen also has experience in the healthcare sector, working as the Director of Organizational Development & Human Resources at Hospital de La Concepción from 2011, and as the Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations at Centro Cardiovascular de Puerto Rico y del Caribe - Dr. Ramón Suárez Calderón from 2013 to 2014. Gretchen has also worked as an HR Strategic Business Partner at AstraZeneca from 2010 to 2011. Before that, they held the position of Director, Human Resources – Caribbean Operations at Covidien from 2007 to 2010. Gretchen has also worked at Tyco Healthcare, USSC as a Human Resources Manager and Training and Development Manager, and at Eli Lilly and Company as a Senior Human Resources Representative. Gretchen started their career as an Employee Relations Specialist at B Braun Inc.

Dr. Gretchen Muniz Ortiz obtained their PhD. in Management and Business Development with a concentration in Human Resources from Freshers Campus jobs between 2003 and 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Management from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez from 1999 to 2002. Gretchen'seducation journey started with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources and Finances, also from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, which they completed between 1995 and 1999.
