Russell’s journey in the event services industry began in 2006, during his internship at Ultimate Ventures, a Destination Management Company (DMC) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This pivotal experience sparked his passion for enhancing event logistics and communication, laying the foundation for his future endeavors

In 2014, Russell co-founded GruupMeet to innovate scalable, secure event management solutions that optimize strategic meetings and event experiences. As the architect of the "Event Comms" technology space within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, he spearheaded the design and development of a platform that has successfully supported over 2,000 events and engaged more than 1 million attendees. Under his leadership, GruupMeet has achieved a 95% client loyalty rate, driven by a focus on operational excellence, compliance, and user-centric design.

Russell’s strategic expertise also enabled GruupMeet to secure $325K in equity funding, fostering product innovation and market expansion. As a mentor at Tech Wildcatters, a nationally recognized accelerator featured in “Forbes” and “Inc. Magazine,” Russell collaborates with startup founders to strengthen IT security, scalable infrastructure, and cyber defense strategies, positioning GruupMeet as a leader in its industry.
