Jake Smith, CPHIMS, MBA, currently serves as a Business Analyst and Senior Operations Specialist at Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health since March 2014. Concurrently, Jake is a member of GRYP - Grand Rapids Young Professionals and holds the position of At Large Commissioner for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan, until December 2024. Previously, Jake served as a Board Member for the Michigan Community Corrections Advisory Board and as a County Commissioner for Calhoun County, MI, where leadership roles included chairing multiple committees. Jake’s earlier experience includes an Operations Specialist role at Venture Behavioral Health. Educationally, Jake is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Dayton, following completion of the Michigan Political Leadership Program and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Western Michigan University.

Grand Rapids Young Professionals is dedicated to providing young professionals between the ages of 21-40 with the opportunity to network professionally and socially with each other. GRYP is committed to professional development and contributing to the communities of Greater Grand Rapids both through volunteer opportunities and leadership roles.
