Asma Ishak-Mahdi Pharmd

Asma Ishak-Mahdi PharmD, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Buyer and leads the DSCSA Serialization and Blockchain initiatives for Health and Wellness at Walmart, with experience in various roles including Product Manager and Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager. Asma also actively contributes to industry governance as a member of the GDSN Chair Committee and Rx Secured Supply Chain Committee at GS1 US, and holds the position of Secretary and Board Member for the Partnership for DSCSA Governance, Inc. Previous experience includes managing pharmacy operations at Sam's Club and Walgreens, as well as internships at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico. Asma is pursuing advanced education in Blockchain Strategy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and has an Executive MBA from Sacramento State College, in addition to a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of New Mexico.
