Romanie Dendooven currently serves as General Counsel at GS1 since January 2024. Prior to this role, Romanie held various positions at Anheuser-Busch InBev from June 2015 to January 2024, including Legal & Corporate Affairs Director for the BENEFRALUX region, where oversight included public affairs and crisis management with a team of 15. Additional roles included heading legal operations for Belgium and Luxembourg, managing post-merger integration for the SAB Miller acquisition, and overseeing legal matters for ABI International in over 100 countries. Romanie has also contributed as a board member of the Belgian Brewers trade federation during the COVID crisis. Early career experience includes roles as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, with a focus on M&A and corporate finance. Higher education includes LL.M. from Columbia Law School and law degrees from the University of Paris I and Ghent University.
