Ian Moltrup

Lead Process Simulation Engineer at GSE Systems

Ian Moltrup has a diverse work experience. Ian started their career as a Summer Researcher at Purdue University, where they focused on studying and producing bimetallic catalysts. Ian then worked as an Intern at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where they researched the capabilities of a wire-mesh sensor for analysis of on-wall flows and liquid holdup in absorption columns. Later, they interned at Evonik Industries AG, where they analyzed and optimized heat exchanger networks for new chemical plants. Following that, they worked as an Applications Engineer at API Heat Transfer, specializing in plate heat exchangers for industrial and process market projects. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Process Simulation Engineer at GSE Solutions.

Ian Moltrup attended the University of Rochester from 2007 to 2011. Ian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics.
