Masataka Uo

Masataka Uo serves as the CEO of the Japan Fundraising Association since February 2009, focusing on enhancing the culture of giving and social impact investment. Masataka holds multiple leadership roles, including Ambassador for the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment, Board Member at JANPIA, and Co-Founder of Asia Pacific Fund. Other roles include Senior Advisor positions at Fundrex and the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management, as well as Vice President at Shizenkan University. Prior experience includes over 17 years with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, culminating as Director for the South East Asia Division. Educational credentials comprise a Bachelor of Commerce from Keio University, a Master's degree for Nonprofit Organization from Case Western Reserve University, a Fundraising Management Certification from Indiana University Indianapolis, and a Master's degree in Economics from Hosei University.
