Doug Blackburn

Doug Blackburn is currently the VP of Quality and Compliance at GSMS. Doug has over 25 years of experience in quality assurance and risk management.

Doug started their career as an Environmental Field Technician at Onsite Environmental. Doug then transitioned to Amgen, where they spent 17 years developing and implementing an enterprise risk management program. In 2012, Doug joined Shire, where they spent 5 years as the Director of Quality Assurance. In this role, Doug was responsible for the Quality oversight for Shire's Los Angeles Plasma Fractionation Facilities.

Doug has a proven track record of developing and implementing effective Quality Assurance programs. Doug is an expert in exception management, product quality decisions, product release, quality operations and regulatory compliance. Doug is a member of Site Leadership Teams, where they are responsible for setting the strategic direction and operational activities for various sites.

Doug Blackburn completed their undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Delaware. Doug then went on to earn their Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Doug Blackburn works with Ryan Cort - VP, Sales Operations & Marketing, Anita Wrublevski - SVP, Customer Service Excellence, and Shad Weaver - Chief Financial Officer. Doug Blackburn reports to Benjamin Hall, CEO.
