Chris Taylor has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Chris started their career in 1997 at the NatWest Group Head Office, where they served as the Head of Group Funds Management Compliance and Deputy Global Head of Compliance. Chris was responsible for overseeing compliance in various regulated businesses.
In 2000, Chris joined Lombard Odier as the Director of Compliance, where they headed the Compliance team, sat on the board of three group companies, and took on additional responsibilities for the legal function and overseas offices.
In 2007, they joined TAIB Securities Ltd as the Director of Compliance, where they served for nearly four years, overhauling compliance arrangements and providing regulatory training to staff. Chris was later invited to join the Board.
Chris then joined BFC Bank Ltd in 2014 as the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, a role they held until 2019.
In 2008, they became the Independent Non-Executive Director at Guaranty Trust Bank (UK) Limited, where they advised and assisted the bank in obtaining regulatory authorization, focusing on providing lending, mortgage, deposit, and trade finance services to West African clients.
Their most recent role is at Lintel Financial Services Ltd, where they served as a Board Advisor from June 2021 to April 2022.
Chris Taylor attended the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) from 1994 to 2010, where they obtained a Chartered FCSI degree in Regulatory Compliance within the Securities and Investment Industry. Prior to that, they studied at London Metropolitan University from 1972 to 1994, earning a Chartered FCIPD degree in Human Resource Management. Chris also attended Southend College of Technology from 1968 to 1972, where they obtained an ACIB degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Chris began their higher education at the University of Leicester from 1965 to 1968, where they pursued a B.A.(Hons) degree in Sociology and Psychology.
