Shanpeng Xiao

Shanpeng Xiao currently serves as the Chair of the Terminal Work Group and Coordinator of the IoT Program at the Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI) since May 2015, where coordination of terminal-related work and IoT program activities occurs. Concurrently, Shanpeng holds the position of Deputy Director at the Wireless and Terminal Department of China Mobile Communication Corporation, overseeing terminal wireless technology innovation and evaluation since May 2007. Previous roles include Project Manager at China Mobile Research Institute, focusing on device evaluation, qualification, and certification in collaboration with 3GPP and GCF, as well as serving as a Board Member for the Global Certification Forum from January 2015 to December 2016, engaging in strategy and resource management. Shanpeng’s early career included senior engineering responsibilities at Beijing Samsung Telecom R&D Center, specializing in WCDMA wireless product development from April 2001 to May 2007. Shanpeng holds a Master’s degree in Mobile Communications from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, completed between 1998 and 2001.
