Thomas Schemera

Thomas Schemera currently serves as the Global Chief Operating Officer at GAC MOTOR, starting in January 2025. Prior to this role, Schemera was the Global Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President at Hyundai Motor Company from March 2018 to December 2023. Previously, Schemera held various leadership positions at BMW, including Head of BMW M and BMW Individual in the Americas, as well as VP of Sales, Marketing and Driving Experience at BMW M, and VP of Sales and Dealer Development at BMW Group China. Schemera's expertise includes change management and communication, supported by a strong educational background with a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Diplom ingenieur (FH) in Automotive Engineering Technology from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
