As Senior Executive Vice President of New Financial Products, Raman leads Guaranteed Rate’s new business lines designed to drive growth beyond first-lien mortgages. Raman and his team are laser-focused on creating a broad assortment of new financial products available to Guaranteed Rate customers. All products will be launched in a digital first, technology forward manner, and will be designed for rapid scaling nationwide. These new products will provide an excellent, low friction customer experience, emphasizing speed, ease and convenience. Alongside Guaranteed Rate’s industry leading mortgage customer experience, these products will help Guaranteed Rate develop broader, deeper, longer lasting and higher value relationships with its customers.

Prior to Guaranteed Rate, Raman was EVP of Lending at HSBC, USA where he turned around a troubled mortgage business, restoring it to growth and profitability. He also helped launch digitally driven, fast-growing personal loans and credit card businesses. Raman held various leadership roles at HSBC, in the U.S. and overseas, in marketing, technology and general management. Prior to HSBC, Raman was an executive at Capital One where he focused on credit cards, personal loans and auto loans, and a partner at the strategy-oriented management consulting firm Booz-Allen and Hamilton. Recently, Raman served as HSBC’s executive representative on the Housing Policy Council.

Raman earned his Master of Business Administration with high honors from the University of Chicago, his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Delhi in India. Raman lives in White Plains, N.Y. with his wife, Rajshree. Raman and Rajshree have two adult boys, both currently in college. Raman is a sports fan and avidly follows the Indian Cricket Team and the Minnesota Vikings. Outside of work, Raman is a history, politics and trivia enthusiast, and enjoys spending time with family, reading, taking long walks and traveling.
