Edwil Fontanilla

Edwil Fontanilla has extensive experience in internal audit and technology leadership, currently serving as the Head of Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data/AI - Internal Audit at Guardian Life since March 2024. Prior to this role, Edwil was the Manager of IT Internal Audit at Western Union from April 2018 to August 2019 and held the position of Vice President of Internal Audit/SOX at MSCI Inc. for over eight years. Additional experience includes managing IT audit at Barr Laboratories and serving as a Senior IT Auditor at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. Edwil began a career in IT auditing in 1996 and has contributed to organizations such as Prudential Financial and the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company earlier in their career. Edwil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University at Albany, completed in 1995, and received foundational education at St. Paul's School and Nyack High School.
